That gorgeous flower stamp is from the Precious Peony Stamp Set( ALTN | SBC | SSS ). I used my Altenew alcohol markers to color my image and then used the matching dies to cut it out.

For the background I used the Classy Stripes Stencil( ALTN | SBC | SSS ) with Embossing Paste( ALTN | SBC | SSS ). I like to apply it randomlyand not to have a perfect finished look as I think it adds more to the look. I then applied on top Glitter – Ice White( SBC | SSS ) before the paste was dry. The glitter sticks to the paste and gives a lovely finish.

If you want to avoid the glitter mess then skip this step of use glitter paste.

The sentiment is from the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set( ALTN | SSS | SBC ) which is really versatile and I find I rach for it again and again for my sentiments. To finish off my card I added some RADIANT ORCHID Pearls ( SSS ).

  7. Oh so pretty! I like the brush stroke look. Coloring with pencils is my absolute favorite and it helps with anxiety. Sometimes I stamp some images just to color for the sake of coloring. I’ve heard of Kathy’s color challenge before. How supportive to do a blog hop featuring her challenge. Lovely card. Thank you.

  8. Vicky – you are one of my favorite artists. I follow your work on YouTube and really enjoy watching you create all the wonderful projects. This card is another example of your creativity! Just love it! Thank you

  9. This is gorgeous, but we expect no less from you! I agree it’s good to color everyday even for 10 minutes. It’s good for the soul! 🙂

  10. Vicky, I was not getting your emails and then poof! There they are in my inbox again! YEAH! I really like the subtle colors of your peonies! They are so pretty and I adore the sparkle that you put behind them for some pop! What a fun hop and so great to see you in my inbox again! Cheers!

  11. Gorgeous card Vicky using your favourite pinks and greens. A fabulous combination I remember you used on the Book Club stamp card with the matching pink Washi Tape. Love the background. Really offsets the flowers.

  12. You are one of my favorites and this does not disappoint. Lovely as always. And unique as always with the variable paste.

  13. I know the focus of the blog hop is coloring, but can I just say that I am in LOVE with your stripey, sparkly background! I am so inspired to go do one just like this! And I do love your coloring and the way the wide green frame around the white mat just makes your florals pop! Beautiful card!!!

  14. What a gorgeous card! I love your color combo. I was hoping you were going to color in Copics, so I could copy down the colors.

  15. I always love your cards and your simple explanation of the procedure. Particularly on this one, I was very impressed on the texture created with paste and glitter ❤️ Will try this soon! Thanks for sharing your art!

  17. Beautiful. I truly enjoy watching you work and your voice overs are so pleasant to listen to! Thank you for sharing your talents!!

  18. Absolutely love how you coloured your flowers, so I will have to buy those other Altenew markers to help with the transitioning of dark to lighter shades when colouring in the future. But what I love most of all is how you partially stenciled the panel and added the glitter.
I guess I never realised that you can partially apply the embossing paste and achieve an awesome effect like you did, I have only ever thought of filling out the entire stencil, so thank you so much for sharing your beautiful card with us and I love your accent too.

  19. Your Precious Peony is so beautifully painted!!! Gorgeous way to set it off with the stenciled background!!

  23. Your background is beautiful! I should have a stencil day and just make a bunch of white on white backgrounds with texture paste (and glitter, of course!) Your flowers turned out amazing too!

  24. Oh my word Vicky 🙂 What’s not to love?!? That lovely peony…those fluffy background stripes….the glimmer in those stripes…your impeccable coloring…that clean simple sentiment. It ALL equals one amazing card!!! Thanks so much for inspiring me 🙂
