The inspiration for this page came from the new die by Sizzix designed by Tim Holtz – Santas Wish Colorize( SBC | SSS ). Putting all the layers together will end up into an adorable Santa that you can use in so may projects.
My Santa is holding a naughty list… and he is checking it twice
There are many different techniques used to create tha background and I had so much fun creating it. I played with collage paper, acrylic paint, gesso, stencil, paste, heat embossing …
And since Santa is checking his naughty list… well I had to go with a fun quote ….
For my quotes I like to combine bigger and smaller fonts. You can achieve that by writting everything with your pen or if you are like me you can combine alphabet stamps and dies or even print out your sentiments.

Oh, Vicky! What a fantastic journal page and video. I must admit that I’ve missed seeing you create journal pages like this one. So many techniques and layers. I’m trying to incorporate some tissue paper into my projects, but I get stuck on how best to use it. (I must go back and rewatch some of your older videos!) Your Santa is just so adorable, including his mitten! And that background is stunning and gorgeous!!! The distressing techniques you did on the naughty list are ones I’ve learned from you and tried. Love the look too! I have the ornament colorize die set and although I really like the look, the small pieces can be challenging for me, but this Santa …!! I have long loved that Christmas tissue by Tim. It’s beautiful and so vintage! Great ideas and tips throughout your video. Absolutely enjoyed every second.
