The new Friendly Frolic release by SimonSaysStamp is here! Today we celebrate with a blog hop full of inspiration and giveaways! You should have arrived here from Heather Ruwe. If you want to start the blog hop from the beginning please go to Simon Says Stamp Blog
Among the amazing products there is one that I adore! It’s the Leafy frame die. In a previous release it came as a stencil and I shared a video with 3 ways on how to use it here. So today I am back with 3 cards again using the die version. All same design but different techniques and look.
card 1
For the first card I created my background using two distress oxide inks. I used RIPE PERSIMMON ( SSS ) and MUSTARD SEED ( SSS ). Both are brand new colors! I kept the leafy background die cut white for a striking contrast.
The sentiment is a combination of stamps from the SCHOOL BUS MESSAGES ( SSS ). I also added some dots with my nuvo drops in matching colors.
card 2
For my second card I used again distress oxide inks but this time on the Leafy Background. The colors I used are also brand new MOWED LAWN ( SSS ) , GROUND ESPRESSO ( SSS ) and TEA DYE ( SSS ).
The sentiment is a combination of stamps from WREATH GREETINGS ( SSS ), which is a gorgeous stamp from the previous release that I din’t have the chance to use it yet.
card 3
And for the third card again I used distress oxide inks in the background. I worked on watercolor paper and used a combination of blue colors both new and old. The butterflies were cut out using the STITCHING BUTTERFLIES ( SSS ), another product from the previous release that I wanted to use.
The sentiment is one of the many lovely sentiments from the gorgeous SKETCH LOTUS FLOWERS ( SSS ), from the Friendly Frolic release.

Great ideas using the leafy die.
Beautiful backgrounds, especially the first one.
I’m in love with all the products, but my first pick is the Leafy Frame Die (which is back ordered 🙁 and the new Oxide Inks). I love the colors you chose to make these beautiful cards, thank you!

Hi Vicky, Am obsessing about that gorgeous Leafy frame and after seeing your three beautiful cards, I want it even more. Love your colour combinations! Thanks for sharing.
I was inspired by this post, but I don’t own a die-cutting machine. I created a similar frame on my Cricut and came up with a very similar card! Thanks for your inspiration!
