The new June card kit by SimonSaysStamp had been revealed. It is packed with great products such as beautiful papers, a gorgeous large stamp set, a 3d embossing folder, the new distress resist spray and so many more!
Remember that the kit for the monthly subscribers is $29.99 , which is an amazing deal if you take into account that just the stamp set is $24.99 (this is a 8×6 large stamp set). If you are not a subscriber you can either subscribe HERE or grab it here for $34.99. Below you will also find links to the products separately.
In my monthly feature I try to create 10 cards that are easy to reproduce, they are not too complicated and they do not require products other than what’s included… except some basic supplies of course.
So let’s take a look at the cards that I made.
card 1
How gorgeous is this big stamp set? Color it in any color combo you love with any medium you like. So many possibilities! Here I went with my Nuvo alcohol markers for a simple but so pretty birthday card.
card 2
Here is another take on this huge flower stamp. This time without coloring anything. Everything is embossed with gold embossing powder, really hard to show in the photo but it’s really shiny and elegant looking in person.
card 3
And here is a third take on the same stamp. This time I worked on watercolor paper and I embossed the image with white embossing powder. Then I used one of the watercolor samples in the kit to color it loosely and bring the design to life. Love the look and feel to this card and I have a thing for monochromatic card.
card 4
Here is another watercolored card. I stamped, colored and cut out the flowers and created stems for them. Check the video on how quickly I colored these flowers but look all the shading and highlights I got!
card 5
So now let’s take a look at some card using the patterned paper included. Here I combined it with one of the coloring cards from the kit.
card 6
This is a card you can make in seconds just by using this gorgeous patterned paper. However in the video I will show you how to take this design a step further by adding dimension and making your card more special.
card 7
This is another simple card but so gorgeous. I used one of the patterned papers to stamp on top my sentiment with different colors. Then I fussy cut one flower from another paper and placed it on top. I really love those loose watercolor flowers.
card 8
It’s been a while since I made a shaker card! So here is a really pretty one mixing papers from the kit.
card 9
In this card I crated a background with some golden splashes. I achieve this artistic look I used the resist spray and applied gold embossing powder. Love the random and organic look to it. The I popped a few hot air balloons that I fussy cut from another paper.
card 10
And finally for the last card I used the 3D embossing folder. This gives you amazing texture that you can only see in real life. In this card I kept everything simple since I didn’t want to cover up all the design.
bonus background
But in the video I demonstrate another look using the same 3D embossing folder. This time I used black cardstock and then I applied on top nuvo mousse. The color was mainly grabbed in the raised areas and made the design pop even more. Here is a photo but make sure to check the video
