Realistic Flower card

Happy Monday! Today I have a lovely card, perfect for any occasion. I used dies from Sizzix to create this gorgeous dimensional flower that is the focal point on my card.

I used the Sizzix Bigz Die – Rustic Bouquet( SZX | CST ). I cut out many petals using the same die, so that I can stuck them one on top of the other to get that full look.

To color my flower I used my distress oxide inks. In the video I share the exact ink pads I used to get that realistic look. Gorgeous isn’t it? Look at all the dimension of my flower. To achieve that I used the Sizzix Paper Sculpting Kit( SZX | HCUK ). Watch the video below to see how easy it is to use and how much difference it makes.

If you notice I haven’t stamped any sentiment on the outside. I combined a die cut word with a stamped sentiment to complete my birthday card. Just change the sentiment and you have a card perfect for any occasion. It would make a great Mother’s day card too!

You can enjoy the video below or at my YouTube channel

Supplies:

The dies I used in this card are Sizzix.co.uk designs not available in the US and Canada. But I suggest similar Sizzix.com dies below that can give you the same look. Links to both US and UK online shops below. Affiliate links used at no extra cost to you.

What a lovely card! Taking the time to use the tools that turned a flat floral die cut into a “Wow” dimensional floral focal point made all the difference in the world. Thank you for the inspiration, , and although the exact background die is not available here in the U.S., the Sizzix company keeps us pretty happy with the dies they do supply here!
