Empossing texture plate
One of the new products that just have been released is the gorgeous embossing texture plate. This is an etched metal plate that adds a subtle texture on your paper. I love the design and it’s the perfect background for clean and simple cards.
To help the design pop even more I did some inking with my distress inks. A great tip if you want a great blending result but not too vibrant is to use the Nuvo dual tipped brushes for applying your ink.
I made 3 cards in no time using this technique and look how gorgeous they all look. Just use your favorite color combination and then add your sentiment.
Since you can’t stamp the sentiment on the embossed background a great alternative is to use strips of paper with stamped sentiments or die cut words. I combined both of these ideas and I just love the final result. I also did die cut the words twice from white and black cardstock so that I can create a shadow.
