Weekend video – Flower Pot

February14

When I saw those distressed flowers on the Hero Arts video by Lisa here I had to make them. So here is this weekend’s card!

and a closer look…

You can watch the video and then scroll down to read the list of supplies. If you don’t want to loose any of my videos you can subscribe on my YouTube channel here.

Supplies:
Essential Messages by Hero Arts
BasicGrey 6x6x pad Ambrosia
BasicGrey buttons Ambrosia
Making Memories edge distresser (couldn’t find this anywhere but here is another tool that does the same thing)
Tim Holtz non-stick Scissors
Jewelry wire 18 gauge
Wire Cutter and Round nose pliers
Embossing Buddy

Tip: Embossing Buddy is that pillow I am using before I stamp with the Versamark ink. If you want really neat embossing you should use it! Perfect embossing every time! You can’t find an embossing buddy?
Here are some alternatives:
- Use a dryer sheet
- Dip a soft rag in a bit of corn starch

Great card, I love that you used the distressor for the edges, I’ve not seen it used and love the look. Much easier than what I’ve been trying. Your wire is heavier than what I have and I love the look of it and how you curled it to make the loops. Darling card, you know I’ll be trying it!!! Love your carnival red nails, pretty pretty :-)

I love this card. I made one of my own. I changed it up somewhat as I didn’t have any wire. I think it turned out really cute. Thanks for the inspiration. I did link your blog to the card.

Just tried making these flowers this morning, didn’t think I would like them, but they are very cute! Sliced my finger with the scissors on first go ( don’t have edge distresser yet!), but I learnt quickly!!
