Hello my crafty friends, it’s mini slimline cards for today and a giveaway.
Today is a special day for Greece, it’s our Independence Day and we celebrate 200 years from then! I took the day off from blogging but I have this blog post scheduled for you, so here we go!
The new April card kit has been released by SimonSaysStamp and it’s so pretty! So many goodies to play with and it smells like spring! For today I am sharing 3 cards that I made using products exclusively from the kit. Also all the cards I am sharing today are mini slimline cards. It’s a fun size to work with if you want to change up things you normaly do and to do something different. But you can easily adapt the designs for other sizes too.
The mini slimline cards are 3″ 1/4 x 6″ 1/4 .

When I visited your country around this time of year, (many, many years ago) people (adults as well as children) were strolling the streets of Plaka (Athens) dressed up and HITTING PASSERSBY WITH BIG PLASTIC BATS!!! We had NO IDEA what was going on and had to just step off the sidewalk and have a seat and watch all the gaiety which seemed so silly to us! Later we heard different reasons for this behavior – mainly Holy celebrations. I am STILL wondering!

Absolutely gorgeous cards Vicky! I agree that patterned papers don’t seem to be the current trend. I have so many beautiful patterned papers so I appreciate the fresh and beautiful inspiration. I need to pull them out again as they are such a fabulous tool for beautiful cards.
The papers are gorgeous! My favourite is the cluster card, because I find them so difficult to do and need all the inspiration and ideas I can get.

Such beautiful papers in this kit! I’m a big fan of fussy cutting (I know some people think I’m crazy), so I’m really drawn to the first and third designs on the cards you made. I really like the layering you did on the third card. I’d love to have a whole bunch of the black and white diagonal striped paper – so many ways to use it!

What a beautiful card kit. I love the papers and making cards with no stamping, well, that is such a nice change. I do love stamping, but for a quick and pretty card, this is great.

Thank your for your videos and the great ideas. I like the simple vintage collections but sometimes have difficulties with the 6×8 papers. Slim line cards are the solution indeed. May I ask for advice about buying from US stores? I live in Belgium and never dared to buy outside continental Europe because of customs duties. Thanks.
