Hi! Today I am sharing an art journal layout I created using stamps from the Picket Fence Studios. If you are not familiar with their designs make sure to check them out. For my project today I combined two stamps. The Botan Peony( PFS | SSS ) and the Beautiful Girls – Jordan ( PFS | SSS ). I did all the coloring on my images with my Arteza Real Brush pens ( SSS ) and then used my scissors to cut out everything. Then I combined the two cut outs into one. Now she looks like she is wearing a flower skirt! LOVE how this project came out!
For the background I used a couple of distress oxide sprays. Really quick and simple but makes an interesting background with visual texture and provides the best place for my girl to be on. The quote is from the Wild Heart Gypsy Soul ( PFS | SSS ) stamp set.
You can use your favorite medium to do the coloring on this images but always remember to use good quality paper for great results no matter the medium. Here I am using my Arteza on heavy Winsor Newton watercolor Paper( SSS ), which made blending a dream.

Also i liked the fact that you kept the background very simple and did not add anything more like letter stamps or tissue paper or other techniques that you use. Hi Vicki, lovely journal page. I just bought the Arteza water brushs and I have been practicing with them. Thank you for showing me how to use them on flowers. Of course, I always love your journaling but today has a wonderful elegance about it. The color choice is beautiful and I love the yellow on her dress because it is a great focal point and makes the entire page pop. I enjoy your backgrounds too… the splatter technique is a favorite of mine.
