Hi crafty friends! It’s been over a week since I shared my last project. I have been traveling with family and friends, enjoying Easter break. We went to Amsterdam, and had an amazing time. I am back now, kids are going back to school on Monday and the weather in Greece is just perfect! Sunny as always but finally warm too!
So here is a spring birthday card I made today. I went with a square card as I find 4×4 cards are a great size to put inside a gift bag. The lovely image comes from the Stampendous Window Messages( SBC ). I used one of the 4 stamps provided in the stamp set. You can repeat the same design with all 4 of the stamps in the set for a wonderful set for cards to hand out as a gift.
For all the coloring I used the new Nuvo Watercolour Pencils ( SBC | SSS ). They come in two sets and you can see me using them in the video. I’ll show you 3 different ways to use them as I blend them with my Nuvo Water Brush( SBC | SSS ). I will keep playing and promise to make a review video soon.
As always dimension is a must for my cards, even in the simplest of designs. So I had to color the flower a second time, to cut it out and pop it on top of the original. I also added some thread and Nuvo dots… it’s all about having different textures and details … these make your card extra special.
And finally on the inside of my card I stamped the sentiment combining words from the Stampendous Big Words Happy ( SBC | SSS )

Excellent card, Vicky! I love what you’ve done, especially adding the black and white and twine.. The watercolor pencils are great, and your technique makes it look so easy (ha1) – but it looks like there is no purple color. Bummer. Also enjoyed hearing about your travels. I loved Amsterdam, but it has been about 20 years since I’ve been there. Such a colorful and artistic place. You are always so inspiring, thank you!
