Stamptember-Blog-Hop-600x150

Welcome to the last stop of the STAMPtember® Blog Hop! Amazing inspiration along the way and tons of prizes to be won from an awesome release!

If you want to start the blog hop from the beginning make sure to visit the SimonSaysStamp blog HERE.

To celebrate the new release I used two of the new stamp sets, matching dies and one of the stencils to created a fall card.

I used distress colors for the coloring keeping my palette between green, orange and mahogany. I also went ahead and added a few details such as rock candy and glossy accents.

And don’t you just love the embossed background? This was done using the stencil. Awesome for just about any card, when you want to have a background that does not grab the attention but still adds that extra something. Here is a closer look:

  152. Great card, Vicky! I love how you color using distress inks and then fussy cut. Always such a rich and vibrant result. I wish I had good cutting skills like you!

  153. I loved your video! So good to know that you didn’t end up the way you thought you were going to and your card turned out so beautiful! I think the strip on the bottom with the distressing was a really wonderful final touch! The colors and images and sentiment are all perfect! Thanks so much for all you share!

  154. Oh my this card is stunning. I love the grouping of pumpkins/leaves and acorns and I love the look of the stickles you added. The glossy accents on the sentiment is wonderful. Gorgeous card.

    Blessings,

  159. Great card, Vicky. I love the embossed background and I think it’s high time I started using that rock candy. Makes a nice change from the Wink of Stella LOL Also love how yo’ve decided to ground your collage with a strip of orange.

  160. Vicky you are an artist! I love your card and your consistent addition of some kind of sparkle. Fall is my favorite time of year and this card captures it.

  161. I love how you used the fall theme for your card…I love the word “Thanks” and struggle with the “Thanksgiving” theme. Even decorating my house! Crazy I know. I just took down my outside wreathe of summer for drinks and margarita and sandals. Now I need to come up with another one lol!
    Thanks,
    Carolyn

  195. Dear Vicky, I hopped through all the blogs and, although some cards look very nice, I think yours is the best! I always like your cards, you have good taste and are creative, you care for details without overdoing or cluttering your cards. Also, your speedy montage, description of techniques and sharing of tips makes your videos easy to watch and very useful!
Thank you for sharing and inspiring!

    1. The video was excellent… I learned so much!!! I was wondering how you achieved such brilliance in your coloring… I _must_ try using those little daubers to fill in my images, instead of just using them to ink the edges of card stock! I am your newest fan (& I love your beautiful accent… I could listen to you talk for hours)! <3

  196. Looks great! So many layers; perfect for fall time!
I’ve discovered a lot of great bloggers through this awesome Simon Says Stamp giveaway! How fun!

  197. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the Netherlands unfortunately. But the card is awesome; love the colours especially !
