Here is the card i made inspired mostly by the color combinations, the couple of butterflies here and there and the many flowers (check my floral background stamp).

It’s so colorful and i just love those butterflies instead of numbers. You can use whatever you like instead of a flower – butterflies combination and it can be as big or small as you like… the possibilities are endless!

Instrustions:

I used a butterfly from the Sizzix and Hero Arts set, because it comes with a matching die. I would’t want to cut 12 stamped butterflies by hand. however if you don’t hava a matching die for the stamp you choose, you can cut out your images while watching TV.

I used my Cuttlebug to cut out 12 butterflies.

And then used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the butterflies.

Here are the butterflies all ready to be colored:

I did some quick copic coloring, just usig a couple of markers on each butterfly.

Then I stamped a big flower twice, cut it out and colored with my copics. I placed one flower on top of the other for extra dimension. Notice the hole in the middle of the flower. I made the hole with my exacto knife.

The flower (or whatever you choose as a middle image) has to be big enough to cover the clock mechanism.

Here you can see the clock mechanism… you can find it at any DIY shop and it’s very cheap. To tell you the truth mine is recycled ( I took it out from this IKEA wall clock that didn’t like any more).

Removed the clock hands just by pulling them out. I then added a couple of glue dots on the mechanism.

I sticked the flower on the mechanism making sure the white part sticks out in the middle, add I put back the clock hands.

I arranged the butterflies on my craft surface trying to decide how far away I want them to be and the order of the colors.

And then I sticked everything on the wall using foam dimensionals.

Today I am sharing the card I made for my mom.

Those are butterflies from the “veneer wood” collection by Studio Calico and I used my gelatos to color them. Love that vibrant color you can get when using your gelatos direclty on your project.

my new distress markers (Oh I’ve been waiting for those babies like crazy!) and some re-inkers

new paper pads … I always get the 6×6 size, they are the best for cardmakers and I just love all those pads I got this time! Great color combinations for spring and summer! Also i got lots of Hemptique cord sets, because I could’t resist them! LOL!

I am not posting any more photos … adhesives, glue dots, punches etc… are not as exciting as the above!

Being in Greece makes it difficult to get the products you want from the scrapbooking companies you love. Especially since shipping rates from USA to Europe are ridiculously expensive!

BUT, since I found SimonSaysStamps nothing seems to be a problem any more.

They have everything a cardmaker wants, their customer service is amazing, they ship FREE to Europe if you reach a certain amount of $ and the packaging is as good as it gets. Never got a product damaged or squashed although the parcels travel half the globe. So I find that it’s a good value to get a lot of staff at once and take advantage of the free shipping than making lots of small orders.

OK, that’s it for today, I need to get my self to my craft room and start playing! I am making a video for Sunday using these goodies

My friends at Lawnscaping blog are hosting a challenge where you have to make a scene! Well, making a scene on a card is a favorite of mine and combining this with cute Lawn Fawn stamps is so much fun!

So here is my card:

I used my favorite nestabilities to cut the card shapes. I colored the images with my new FlexMarkers by Letraset and I added distress inks for the background.

When I make cards with frames i always like to have elements popping out for more interest. So here I made the butterfly flying away of the frame. I think it adds to the whole design.

I have stamped the background and used my two shades of green to color it, so much fun! On the flower I did a bit of blending using the orange and the red marker.
