Friday’s challenge!

July15

It’s been so long since I’ve blogged! Sorry I’ve been slow on reading your blogs and leaving comments but being on vacation makes me lazy! LOL!

Anyway, I am back home to pack my things for USA, and so I am sharing a card with you that I made for the current Lily Pad Cards Challenge. Such a fun challenge! What you have to do is make a patriotic card. You can get inspired by the colors of your flag, or the symbols of your town/state … just be creative :)

My card was inspired the the colors of the Greek flag and the Greek islands- Blue and White! The challenge is sponsored by Some Odd Girl stamps. You should check them out, they are so cute!

Here is my card:

I made the Greek design at the bottom using my Silhouette, the cute girl is a digi by Some Odd Girl Stamps and I just printed the photos on glossy photo paper.

A couple of cards

May29

Good morning ladies, hope you will all have a great Sunday!

Just to remind you that I have a giveaway in my blog, for a $25 gift certificate to SimonSaysStamps e-shop. So go ahead and read more info here.

Today I am sharing a couple of cards. The first one is a card I made for Friday’s challenge at Lily Pad Cards. The challenge is to make a card inspired by just about anything you’ve seen on the blog the last month! Easy!!! I so adore this challenge. Just find a card you like and CASE it!

So in case you haven’t seen it this is my card inspired by the talented Tina.

The background is a piece of white cardstock where I heat embossed the stamp with white  and then used my distress inks to color it. You can see me do this technique in another card in this video. I then done the same in another piece of white cardstock for the butterfly. After coloring the butterfly I cut it out and used 3d foam adhesive for more dimension. Check at the very bottom of the post for a supply list.

The next card is for this digi challenge. I have designed a digital kit named “Film set” that you can all download freely and use with your digital cutters OR print and cut out with your scissors. This set includes the very much wanted polaroid and film strip!!!

Here is  the film set I designed:

Click here to download it and for more info and inspiration about this challenge!

Here is the card I made using the film strip from the above set and a printable set by Hero Arts:

For this card I used my digital cutter to cut out the film strip and then I created the background scene in a piece of white paper. I used distress ink for the sky, super quick coloring with copics for cloths and bird house. Let me know if you have any questions about this card and if would like a video featuring this die cut :)

Best wishes sweet Miss Abigal Ann!

Congratulations Heidi & Jason! !!!!

Here is my card:

and here is a photo from another angle just to show you the dimension on this card

Scroll to the very bottom of the post for a list of the supplies used.

We hosted Heidi yesterday at Lily Pad cards. Read Heidi’s uplifting interview here and also take a look at the newborn photo of pretty-sweet little Abigal Ann.

Being in Greece where cardmaking is almost unknown makes me get all my supplies through internet. Heidi has best customer service, she is so sweet sending coupons or little gifts within my orders and she has the best international shipping rates you can get! Plus? SimonSaysStamps has all hot products and latest collections. Well, there is more, Heidi was generous enough to support our adventures at Lily Pad Cards as a yearly sponsor! What more to ask?!

I may not know Heidi in person but I am sure gonna meet her in a couple of months in summer CHA! Watch out Heidi!!! I am gonna look for you and give you a big hug and a kiss in each cheek, the Greek way! All the best to your family!

Giveaway:

And since you are all here why not celebrate with a $25 gift certificate to SimonSaysStamps? What you need to do?

How-to Video

May16

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! The weather here was perfect so we had time to do lots of things, including a day out at the park with the kids, some shopping, going at a party, gardening and having lots of fun in our yard.

Between all of these I forgot to mention that I posted a how-to video over at lily pad cards. It is actually a combination of a couple of cards I recently created. They received a lot of comments, so I thought it would be nice to show you the techniques used to make them.

Here is the card

Hope you’ll enjoy watching it. Have a great week !
