Hi ladies,
taking care of LilyPad is taking most of my blogging time and I just realized that I haven’t shared here a couple of cards I did.
So here is a card I made for the “bling” challenge that runs through the whole October. Make sure to check out HERE what the rest of the team did and play along with us!

And here is another card I made last weekend when I decided I should stay away from distress inks for a change and go back to my old time favorite paper piecing. You can watch the how-to video HERE as long as the list of supplies used.

And since you are reading all the way down here… Who loves how-to videos? How about some bonus ones next week along with giveaways here in my personal blog?! Ha! Stay tuned for more info later today

Aris (my DH) normally stays away from my crafting space. But today he decided he should try all my supplies.
He said: “I should use them at least once, after all they are costing us a fortune!” LOL!
So he got crafty and was into distress inks and vintage look… well he is watching all my videos each week, so at least in theory he knows how everything is done! When his project was finished he was so proud of it so I decided to share some photos with you!
Checking colors:

Check the background paper he created… yes that started as a white piece of paper! Cool isn’t it? He even used the edge distresser!

and here he is distressing the base card

and now I present you his fabulous card: TAAAA DAAAAAAAAA

and here are some close ups:
Check the embossed sentiment and the deliberate coffee stain!

and here is the flower!

Well, I think I will ask him to make a video on how he did that coffee stain! ha!
Has your DH ever played with your supplies? If you posted about it, share a link in the comments, I’d loved to see it!

After 2 years of using my blog I have come to a point that I needed a change! So today is the day. I am going to change my blog’s layout into something cleaner, wider and whiter. You will still be able to read posts … so no worries.
….hours later….
LOL, it seems I haven’t done a thing! Instead of changing my website we decided to take the kids to the theme park! We spent there the whole day and we had SOOO MUCH FUN!!!! A change is in my plans but not sure when I’ll find the time
Hugs and have a great week!

Friday and time for another challenge at lily pad cards. What you have to do to participate is make a NEW card inspired by any card you saw on the blog during July and mention it in your post. Fun!
So when I saw this card by Nancy made for one of the lily pad challenges, I knew I had to make a scene at the sea!

and here is a closer look

I used this super cute stamp set by Penny Black:

and this cardstock as a card base from the Penny Black Mix and Match papers. Then on a white piece of cardstock I used my distress inks (faded jeans, scattered straw and tumbled glass) to create the background.
The little girl is half paper-pieced and half colored with copics. But don’t you love her hat?!
Now if you look too close that straw was cut … and I wanted to cut a strip of paper and add it there… but I forgot. LOL! I just saw that now that I am writing the instructions… but let’s pretend it’s there! If you have any questions about the making of this card please do ask at the comments. I love to read them and I always reply to them.
Make sure you visit Lily Pad Cards to join the fun and see what the rest of the Design Team has made!
