…and I am back!

January4

Hi ladies! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and you spent these days with family and friends. May 2012 bring to all of you everything you wish for!

Sorry I was MIA for the last couple of weeks but it was a much needed break.

I spent these days with my family, went on a trip, visited friends, laughted, danced… and I am still on vacation from work the whole week! Woot woot!

Anyway I need to find my crafting mojo back, since I haven’t been in my craft room for days and even trying to make this post was difficult. Guess what? I forgot my blog password! LOL!!!! Anyway, I am waiting for a huge order with new stamps, papers, inks and lots of other goodies and I am sure this will bring my mojo back!

Thank you all so much for visiting, commenting and supporting my blog, my how-to videos and lilypad cards. Being a cardmaker has changed my life in so many ways and I hope 2012 will be another creative year for all of us!

Off to check your blogs and see what has been going on in the crafting community!

Happy Birthday!

November14

Yes! Virginia Lu is turning ….(shhhh) 50 next month!

And can you think of a better way to celebrate than creating a “virtual party” where everyone can post a card and send her wishes?!

Most of you already know Virginia. I am sure you are visiting her site, you read her funny stories and look at her inspiring cards. But for me Virginia is more than that. She was the first friend I made when I started this hobby and this blog. She was always kind and sweet to leave me comments, and encourage me to make even better cards. I remember spending hours just looking at her flickr account which is packed of wonderful cards and it is a great source of inspiration.

I love her style, simple – colorful and fun creations. She is a published designer, she is a member of many Design Teams, she won tons of challenges all over the blogs and has been a guest designer sooooo many times! But yet she is so sweet to visit your blog, leave you some blog love and comment on your creations.

What I love about her blog is that it’s not only inspirational but it’s also funny and yummy! Her occasional posts about her DH Dr. John (wish I will meet you both sometime) are hilarious! And did you know she is an excellent cook? She posts recipes and photos of delicious dishes once in a while!

I am telling you, her talent has no limit!

So my dear friend Virginia, I want to wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart! Please ask Dr. John to give you a hug for me! Here is a card I made for you!I tried to keep it simple, using bright and happy colors! Inspired by your style.

and here is a closer look

So go ahead! Make a card for her and link it to her blog! There are some giveaways for you to win! Check it out HERE.

Taking a break for a day.

November10

Hi girls!

Unfortunately there isn’t going to be a video today since I am taking a break for a day. My little one is sick and taking care of him and monitoring his fever all night really leaves no room for crafting and blogging.

I will be back on Friday for DAY 4 and on Sunday for DAY 5. So stay tuned!

Until then make sure you check out DAY 1, DAY 2 and DAY 3 and enter the Giveaway!

Thank you for understanding.

Cards and more cards!

November1

Hi everyone!

Well, I have been a busy bee these days and it was about time to make a post here to share some cards I designed for our lilypad blog or for friends’ blogs where I guest designed.

So first of all here is the “how-to video” card. You can watch the video HERE.

Here is a card I shared last Friday on lilypad, designed for the latest “texture” challenge. It doesn’t get any quicker and easier than this card. I just used a solid background and adhered those felt ornaments from “Basic Grey”. I added some brads and voila!

I also have the pleasure to Guest Design for a very creative challenge blog Get Creative, that my talented friend Irini is hosting. The challenge is to make a dimensional card using anything you can think of as long as your card isn’t flat! Super easy! Here is the card I designed:

and here is a closer look. Isn’t this “Penny Black” stamp adorable? I am in love with their latest releases, designed by Mo!!!

And here is a Halloween card using “Lawn Fawn” and “Penny Black” stamps. This is a card I made for my Guest Designer spot at my friend’s Michelle blog Page Master Designs.

And last but not least this is a card I designed for the current sketch challenge over at lilypad using The “Crafts Meow stamps”.

So you made it all the way down here?! Woo hoo!!! Can’t tell you how much I appreciate it!!!Hope you got inspired and had fun.

Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for a super fun week starting on November 7th!
