I went with a vintage card in traditional Christmas colors. I have to admit these are my favorites when it comes to Christmas cards. They give me a cozy feeling while making them!
You can use the candy cane heart as is for a focal point tr cut them out and re-arrange them. This way you get different looks from the same die.
Everything I used to create this card was in the kit, cardstock, ribbon, sentiment, frame , focal point! Love this card!

I love the look of Vintage, it takes me back to my childhood.
I love the way in which you cut up the die cuts to use on the card. Usually I’m trying to use the complete die cut for a focal point on the card. but now I plan to use the technique of cutting apart the die cut for a specific use.

I love the way that you use the ephemera items to make such quick and original cards. They’re always gorgeous. Oh and thank you for starting to use the good old vintage photo distress ink as it is still one of my favorite go to.

Your card is Beautiful – love the vintage look. Nice to see a Christmas card without snow or winter themed items as in Australia Christmas is in the middle of summer and it is very hot around that time of the year. This is a card which I would happily give to someone special for Christmas in Australia. Thanks for the chance to win the amazing SSS card kit. Love that it contains the new distress ink color – Don’t have access to these kits in Australia and have to wait a long time before we get the new products here. It is way to expensive to purchase the kits from overseas with the postage. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to do new things. 🙂
Thank you for another good example and a solid explanation. I like that you leave things that go wrong somewhere in the video because that helps a lot. Every year I make Christmas cards that I donate for a good cause, so more materials are very useful for this.

I really enjoyed watching your video, the card turned out lovely. I also returned to using my regular distrss inks. always a classic.
Love the deckled edge on the card. You inspired me to dig through my old scissor stash to see what I can play around with for now. The distress ink helps the edge stand out more. The edge and ink combined gives the card a great vintage look. Like how you share your creative process and how you correct the parts of the card which don’t feel right to you. I could see how changing the holly leaves improved that area of the card. Really beautiful card and you made the process so simple and easy to emulate.

Great video (as always)! The card is great and watching you make it provided some great tips. I find I want to cut at the bottom of the deckle trimmer as well. I struggle with collage so it was interesting to watch you cut up the ephemera to only use pieces of it for the card.

Love what you do with these kits Vicky. And all of the card inspirations you have given us. I don’t journal, but the artwork you create in them makes me want to try. An elementary teacher I worked with for 10 years>> lessons were 90% collages. The kids didn’t realize it(nor the teachers)but by using collages>> layering technique after technique>>that by the time these students graduated from elementary school she had taught them techniques in every form of art there is. What a wonderful way to introduce kids to art, learning skills without being aware that they were being taught. And they thought they were just having fun.
I was a specialist working primarily with handicapped children((autism & cerebal palsy)>> helping them use their limited skills to beyond what they thought they could possibly achieve>>and to enjoy their accomplishments and not be frustrated>>and for others to see what they could do!!!!!
I have never tried one of their Christmas kit, winning would be a good way to try it!
