For the background I combined Tumbled Grass and Cracked Pistachio oxide inks and did the blending with the new blending brush. Works like a dream for large areas.
The gorgeou flowers are from the new Bird of Paradise Stamp Set( ALTN | SSS ) as well as the sentiment.
I stamped the sentiment in one of the labels from the Apothecary Labels Stamp Set( ALTN ).
Also for some added interest on the background I did use the Garden Trellis Cover Die( ALTN | SSS ) but teared off a part of it!

This card is delightful, and the colour contrast is perfect. I love the almost cartoonish style of the layers of the flowers, rather than trying for a hyper realistic image. They’re still amazingly beautiful though.

What a gorgeous card! I just loved it! And, I love, love, love the colors together! And, you used so many items from this awesome new release. The Birds of Paradise stamp is just stunning! I do not think I’ve ever seen one with them before! I was trying to figure out what I would do with the trellis piece. I think it adds a lot of dimension by tearing part if it off. This was the first time I’ve visited—it will not be the last!

Wow, do I love this stamp set. It’s so very cool, and I love the colors you chose. I also really like your point about how cover dies need not always cover! I tend to be very linear, so seeing how you incorporate your mixed media techniques helps me break outside my comfort zone.
