Hi! Today I am back with an art journal using mixed media techniques. I did a collage of cut out images from the new Forest collection by Stamperia and I combined many other fun techniques such as spraying with oxides and stenciling with paste.

Here are some close up photos on my art journal layout. Check the video above for a step by step tutorial and scroll down for a list of supplies used.
I added texture with embossing paste that takes colors differently than paper, and that helps all the designs to stand out.
Little details like splashes, black sketchy lines or white highlights always make a difference in an art journal project.
Isn’t the quote just awesome for my eagle?!
The idea was to have my eagle flying out of the photo, a “free spirit”! Love using motivational quotes on my art journal and when I browse through the pages I get an optimistic and happy vibe!
Browns and yellows for my backgrounds are a big love of mine, I go back to this color combo again and again as I like that vintage looking style they give. As if I made these pages ages ago …
and here are a few more photos where you can see all the texture of the paste
In the Stamperia Forest paper pad there are many animals, wild and free that you can use as your focal point in many more art journals layouts but that eagle is just stunning!
Cut bits and pieces from the papers and create clusters… just layer them one on top of the other for an interesting look. No need to glue everything down completely flat, let some corners without glue to add dimension and texture.
