Hi! Today I am sharing an art journal layout I created using stamps from the Picket Fence Studios. If you are not familiar with their designs make sure to check them out. They have really unique stamps that work great for cards, scrapbooking and mixed media projects. Picket Fence is celebrating their 1st birthday! Happy Birthday Picket Fence !!! I just love supporting new companies in the industry!
I have a 20% sitewide exclusive discount code for you and a giveaway! So read along!
You can enjoy the video below or at my YouTube channel
For my project today I combined two stamps. The Botan Peony( PFS | SSS ) and the Beautiful Girls – Jordan ( PFS | SSS ). I did all the coloring on my images with my Arteza Real Brush pens ( SSS ) and then used my scissors to cut out everything. Then I combined the two cut outs into one. Now she looks like she is wearing a flower skirt! LOVE how this project came out!
For the background I used a couple of distress oxide sprays. Really quick and simple but makes an interesting background with visual texture and provides the best place for my girl to be on. The quote is from the Wild Heart Gypsy Soul ( PFS | SSS ) stamp set.
You can use your favorite medium to do the coloring on this images but always remember to use good quality paper for great results no matter the medium. Here I am using my Arteza on heavy Winsor Newton watercolor Paper( SSS ), which made blending a dream.
