Vintage floral card

Today I am back with a vintage card. I used Sizzix dies designed by Tim Holtz. As I am creating the card in the video I am sharing tips that you can follow to easily get a vintage look on your projects.

For my card today I used the Sizzix – Tim Holtz – Funky Floral 1 ( SBC | SSS | CST ) die set. It’s packed with small flower and leaf dies that you can mix and match. You can create clusters, flower compositions, bouquets or even wreaths.

I created my own colored cardstock using distress oxide inks. Made a bunch of those papers in different color combos so that I can then cut out all my elements.

I also created a window panel using the Sizzix – Tim Holtz – Stacked Baroque( SBC | SSS | CST )dies. For some extra texture I used fabric on this window panel which gives my card a lovely look and feel.

vintage card tips:

Here are all my tips together for getting the vintage card look

• avoid white (use cream or off-white instead)
• add touches of “vintage photo” distress ink everywhere you can!
• use pages from old books as backgrounds
• use texture such as fabric, lace, burlap
