An art journal today, using lots of fun products such as distress oxide inks, acrylic markers and stencils! I worked on my disc bound art journal that’s 8×8. It’s a custom made journal and I shared how I made that journal HERE.
The background is just amazing and I love all those colors together! I combined lots of distress oxide inks to get this look and although it looks complicated it was just a matter of building layers one on top of the other.
The butterfly was creating by using the Darkroom Door BUTTERFLIES Large Stencil ( SSS ). I colored all the details of the butterfly with my new toys! Pebeo decoMarkers ( JGG ) are acrylic markers, they are opaque with vibrant colors, you can blend them and they dry permanent.
For the quote I used one of Tim Holtz Quote Chips ( SBC | SSS ). Love them since they are nice and thick and the package comes with tons of options!

Beautiful background. I love the intensity of color on the butterfly before the white highlights. The text accents on the background add to the richness of the design.

Hi Vicky!!! I finished your butterfly layout lastnight but in my Dylusions Journal and made it a 2 pager. I just love doing them as it is so relaxing to me anyways and I get to be with my buddy Nancy who does them with me 🙂 I hope you don’t mind that I will borrow your pictures of your journal pages so I can put it beside the ones that I have “knocked off” as I call them in my album on my Facebook page.
