For my card today I combined 4 different dies from this release! The flowers were made using the Peony Dream 3d die set ( ALTN | SSS ). It is a layering die set where you cut all the pieces and stack them one on top of the other to create this gorgeous look. You can either die cut everything from colored cardstock or like I did, use white cardstock and then with your markers color everything.
For the beautiful lace detail at the bottom of the card I used the Creative Edges Lace die ( ALTN | SSS ). The lace is so detailed and gives that extra elegance that I absolutely adore. I know I will be using this die a lot!
For my flower composition I also used a branch die from the Create a Wreath die set ( ALTN | SSS ). It didn’t color it since I just wanted some extra detail and dimension but not too much, since I already had lots of colors on my card.
The sentiment is just the negative of die cutting the word “HI” using letters from the Caps Bold Alphabet die set ( ALTN | SSS ). Te panel is raised with foam tape and although the sentiment is white on white, that shadow makes it easily readable.

That is a great set. Great idea especially for those who may not have markers but lots of card stock. Or you could use paint of your choosing on white paper. Lots of ways to get the desired color and have pretty flowers. It would be a great card for Mother’s Day.

Such a wonderful idea to have layering dies! Buying stamps and dies gets so expensive – this eliminates a good part of the cost. And to do it on white paper and color it! Wow, that’s genius too. 🙂

Simply amazing! I thought the layering stamps were beautiful. This die is definitely a must have. No more worrying about having coordinating cardstocks. Also, the lace die really added an extra oomph to your card.

Hi Vicky, I am new to card making and journaling. I love your videos and watch them while I am at the gym on an eliptical machine. The time flies by and I am so jazzed by the time I get home. Then I go out and buy supplies and have started on an art journal. I want to make cards too because I have so many family members and birthdays to remember–my husband and I have 12 children combined and 43 grandchildren….So the cards will be endlessly necessary. Thank you for showing how to make these flowers by colouring them without having to do shading. Me & shading don’t get along well. I know, practice, practice. This peony set is brilliant & I’d love to have it & the dies as well. My wish list is growing.

I love all the flowers that are being shown now. You can have two completely different looks depending on the colors you use. My favorite part of the card is the lacey edges.

I love the simply colored flower layers which defy the idea that coloring with alcohol inks is difficult. Use of the edge die adds elegance.
