winter art journal

Hi crafty friends! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and as 2017 is coming to an end I wanted my last video to be an art journal that you all ask for so much. A winter art journal today with lovely mixed media techniques and Sizzix dies!

Endless fun in this winter art journal layout, watch the video to find out how easy it is to create those birch trees. I played with my distress paints and my big brush markers. I used brushes, a brayer, stamps, stencils… all kinds of fun mediums and techniques.

The deer were dies from the Sizzix – Winter Wonderland( SBC | SSS | CST ). It’s a lovely die set to have, designed by Tim Holtz

For my background I used distress paints using my brush and a brayer. I also did some stenciling and stamping. But the real fun begins when I am creating the birch trees. Just stripes of paper stuck down and a plastic gift card technique.

I also used my favorite Big Brush markers to add color to my animals and I just love how they came out.
