Hello my crafty friends. I hope you are all safe and away from natural disasters. Watching the news is so scary these days…

Today I have a fun video for you. I used the Christmas Sweater background stamp to create 3 cards. It’s a stamp that has been released for STAMPtember by SimonSaysStamp.

I love those Nordic patterns and I thought to give you a few ideas on how you can use it.

Card 1

For my first cards I worked on red cardstock and did some shite embossing. Helps to have this beautiful design nice and bold against that red while at the same time it is textured. Gorgeous to the touch and eye!

To add the sentiment on such a busy background, I cut out a window on my panel and embossed my sentiment there. To finish it off I added a white ribbon. I love that extra touch of embellishing while keeping everything still simple.

Card 2

Another simple card that is really easy to mass produce! I stamped the design on white card stock with red ink. Then I cut out a strip to stick it at the bottom of my card base. For the sentiment I combined a die cut word with an embossed one. But you can go just with a die cut when you mass produce to cut down preparation time.

Card 3

And my last card for today in a totally different color combo. I love Kraft with white and touches of gold.

In this card I white embossed the stamp on kraft colored cardstock. Again I used die cut words for my sentiment but this time in gold.

And to finish it off I used gold thread and a couple of jiggle bells! A card not easy to send through the mail but perfect to put inside a Christmas gift that you will hand out!

  2. Beautiful cards. I love how versatile one stamp can be. You always have such great ideas. Never would have thought to add bells to my Christmas cards.. so adorable!! Thanks so much for sharing. ???

  3. Thank you for this video. I don’t have the sweater background stamp but I have another large Christmas background that I think could work with these designs. I like to make all my Christmas cards and yours are very pretty maybe mine will be pretty too.

  4. Your Christmas card ideas are wonderful and I love that sweater background stamp! Thanks so much for sharing your creative ideas!!!

  5. Hello, Vicky! It is a little difficult to think about Christmas when it is so warm and sunny out, but I know we must get started now if we want to have our cards done in time. These are beautiful…I love all three and am especially inspired by the beautiful dimension you got by embossing the stamped sweater image. I must get this stamp! Did I see a beautiful new ring on your finger this time? As always, thank you so much for sharing! Yes, my husband and I had to evacuate our home off the South Carolina, USA coast, however, we are on our way back home today! I wanted to rent a trailer to pack up my craft room but, of course, there was no time!

  6. I love these cards. A large background stamp isn’t in my budget, but I do have the Tim Holtz stencil in this pattern that was released a few years ago. Will see if that can create a similar background. Thanks for your great videos–they’re an anti-stress tonic for me during these stressful times.

  7. Lovely cards. I especially like the sweater design on the craft paper with the gold accents. Love the jingle bells on the card!! Quite unexpected. Thanks, Vicky.
