Welcome to a fun blog hop!

The latest Altenew release is out and we are celebrating with a fun blog hop to inspire you! Make sure to visit all the stops for amazing creations and keep in min that there are lots of giveaways along the way! More on that at the end of this post.

You should have arrived here from Jennifer’s McGuire blog. If you want to start the blog hop from the beginning and read all the details please visit the Altenew blog here.

I am sharing two cards using the Rose Filament die set. My sentiments are cut outs from the Script Words die set. I just love their design and all the different ways they can be used.

card 1

For my first card I created a background pattern out of the rose cut outs. I chose to go with gold as I wanted to create an elegant looking card perfect for weddings and anniversaries. And I think it would look beautiful if you go white on white and let the dimension do the job!

here is a closer look

Card 2

Now on a totally different idea. For this card I am using the rose outline but also all the little inside pieces. I inked up everything in different shades of color to make sure that the rose doesn’t look flat.

I love the size of the rose since it makes the perfect focal point on a card. Combine it with any of the Script Words and you have a lovely card.

  63. Hey, Vicki! I’m doing so many of these blog hops that I am getting to recognize everyone on the hops. I love both of your card. The gold one looks so rich! It looks like one of those cards that when my mom goes looking for one she says, “That one is to expensive. They are only going to open it up and then throw it away”. Yes, I am a card maker but a lot of times my mom is looking for a great verse on the inside of the card and I don’t have those kind of poems for my cards. She will get a card from me, but mostly she buys them. The second one is very pretty and colorful. My niece loves pink so she would like this one. Both cards are beautiful! Thanks for giving us a chance to win something. I can’t wait to see more of what everyone did.

  64. Vickie I loved the beauty and simplicity of these two cards. Your technique of using tape at the back is brilliant. Thank you for sharing.

  65. These two cards are very elegant! The gold one would be perfect for a wedding or anniversary card-especially a 50th anniversary. The second card would be appropriate for many occasions. Love them!

  66. Thanks for sharing your ideas for these fun products! I especially love the gold card. It really does look classy & elegant.

  67. Love how you made the pink roses with dimension! The black splashes are a tiny touch that make a BIG impact. I will have to try this technique- thank you!

  68. I really like how you did the inlay technique on the 2nd card! What a great idea. Love doing that technique!!! New idea to try!! Thanks, Vicky!

  69. Both of these are amazing!! Thank you for the ideas because that die is on its way?, I will definitely be using that inlay technique for some projects???!

  70. Simple but exquisite cards, Vicky. Thank you for showcasing the Rose Filament die; I’ve been intrigued by those flower diecuts since you showed them in the Altenew kit recently. So glad to find out they’re available as separate dies!

  71. Beautiful cards!! I agree that first card in the gold would make a most beautiful wedding or anniversary card. Doing the same thing in white would be gorgeous as well. The soft colours of the second card are perfect and suit the delicate die cut so well

  72. Heading right to my stamp store to order this rose filament die set. You’re beautiful cards have once again made a shopper out of me!
