Art journal | Thoughts and theories

Hello my crafty friends! Today I am back with an art journal. In my favorite vintage style and by using lots of Tim Holtz goodies, including the new colors of distress oxide inks.

For my background I did some stenciling with Grit Paste ( SSS ). This is a must have paste if you like to do stenciling and then work with distress inks on top. It does not resist distress oxide ink and look how that texture stands out!

My little vintage guy is from the Paper Dolls collection ( SBC | SSS ), which is packed with vintage people. You get adults, children even dogs in different sizes and multiples… there are at least a 100 of them. Love them and can be used as focal points on so many of your projects.

I used my big shot to cut out the gears using the Sizzix Gadget Gears( SBC | SSS ) die. They are made out of Kraft Stock ( SBC | SSS ) that has kraft colored core which I revealed with a sanding block. Love that look.

I finished the look by added quotes and stickers by Tim Holtz. I am so happy with the outcome. I love the vintage look, it was easy and quick to make plus I put many of my supplies into use! So much fun!
