Mother’s day card

Hi my crafty friends!

Today I am back with a mother’s day card! A very elegant, clean and sparkly card that put into use stamps and dies from the latest release by simonsaysstamp.com

The design is really simple but all that shine makes it so sparkly! I used glimmer paste and sparkle dust in different colors and I am in love with the effect.

For the sentiment I embossed with white powder on top of a black cardstock. It’s a great recipe for a sentiment that really stands out.

You can go very creative for the center of your flower, by suing a gem, an enamel dot, a button or like in my case a heart shaped brad.

Beautiful card….checking your blog everyday looking for your 10 cards 1 kit. I enjoy those videos so much. Are you going to continue then?

Since the letters are symmetrical, you could also stamp “wow” to get more mileage out of your stamps. Nuvo products are great, but I’m not a huge fan of glitter. 😏

Thank you for all the glimmer, shimmer and glitter tips! I just love it when Ginger stops by to visit. She looks so adorable and inquisitive!! I’ve been really enjoying watching your mixed media canvas, shadow box and art journaling videos. I’ve tried 2 mixed media projects on chipboard and have been enjoying the process. Thank you for the inspiration, Vicky. Very much appreciated. I’ve been having fun learning something new and it helps when I go back to making a card!!

Really lovely card and it is very elegant. Congratulations. Good tip about running the glitter pieces through the Sizzix. Love Ginger, he looks like my cat, who died last year. Hope you have many many happy years together.

This project inspired me. I gave some Nuvo Sparkle Dust a workout. You certainly were much neater than I, I had it everywhere. What technique do you use to keep things straight. Mine always looks good when I am laying it down, but when completed and I take a step back there is a slight but noticeable slant
