Friday is already here and time to share my 5th card of this fun week featuring Penny Black.

Today I have a very elegant looking card with a gold foiling technique that is so quick!

I used the “burst of blooms” stamp set and I covered up mu panel. I also made sure to do some masking for a clean finish. I colored everything with my alcohol markers.

To add that extra something I did some foiling. I applied glue in different parts of my image by using the Nuvo glue pen. It is easy to use and really quick. Then I let it dry which turns that glue into a sticky area where foiling stays on top. You can see me demonstrate this in the video.

To finish it off I matted my panel with gold cardstock and I also embossed my sentiment in gold. And to bring everything together I also tied a bow with golden thread.

  4. Hi Vicky
Another beautiful elegant card!! Was intrigued that you only had to use glue for the gold foiling instead of heat. Is this special foil paper??? Only wish you were making a card everyday,!!! Thank you for this lovely series.

  11. I loved the video and the card. A simple way to add glitz, and I didn’t know you could use a heat gun to dry the Nuvo glue. Thought it had to air dry, so thanks for that tip, too.

  12. Vicky, I love this card and want to make one for a friend’s birthday. What is the width of the flower panel?

    1. I usually eyeball it, so I don’t have measurements for you. Plus I have already given this card away. But, make it as big as your sentiment allows. This is what will determine the width.

  13. So glad I found this demonstration! You are so very talented and I do so admire Penny Black products! Great demonstration…will try this immediately!
