Happy Friday everyone!
Today I am back with a card I made while having lots of fun! I have been playing with my new distress oxide inks by Tim Holtz and the new dies he designed for Sizzix.
The backgrounds is just stunning! I used my Distress Oxide inks to created. And guess what?! Although it looks complicated all I did was layering colors on top. Color theory and color wheel? Forget it! They just stay on top of each other so you don’t end up with brown mud.
The only thing you need to remember is to dry each distress oxide layer before you add another! Simple right?!
After ending up with multiple colorful panels I just had to put a card together. So I grabbed the beautiful new dies by Sizzix, the mini butterflies and the wildflowers.
I even added a black shadow for my focal points to make them pop against the busy background. And I just had to stick the butterfly with her wings up…. a little dimension is always a must in my cards! And check out the sentiment! This comes from another new product by Tim!

This background is amazing! It reminds me of the effects of alcohol inks, with the advantage of not having to use chrome coat or other specialty paper that was difficult to stamp on or layer. I have so many inks that I’ve resisted purchasing the oxides, but your video may have changed my mind. Thanks, I think.?
