Hi crafty friends! Today I am back with a flower card. Perfect for any occasion with those adorable big and bold poppies! The poppies are by Stampendous, I just love their big stamp designs. They really make a statement. Plus can you see how amazing their matching dies cut?! No border!!!
I made it a birthday card, because you can never have enough of those. But the card design would work for a thank you card, get well, pretty much everything.
To color my lovely poppies I used my new Nuvo Aqua flow pens. The watercolor flows great out of their brush and they are really easy to blend.
I also played with my stencil and glimmer paste for the background to create a shiny but subtle look. And can you see the vase? I just had to add acetate there to make it look like a real glass.

Gorgeous card Vicki, I love how you coloured your poppies and using the acetate over the vase to look like water was brilliant, I’d of never thought of that but I’ m going to give it a try! The new aqua Pens look amazing, do you know if you can get them in Canada, I can’t find them!

Poppy video is so wonderful. I ordered the stamps & dies & was amazed they were in my mailbox in 4 days! Super service! I wish the other stamp companies would make dies that leave no white space. Who wants to spend the time coloring & have it look like a purchased sticker? Not most people I’m sure.
