Hello my friends! I hope you are all having a nice week…

I am back today with an art journal. A week ago I was a guest designer over at the SimonSaysStamp blog, where I shared my latest art journal using lots of fun techniques. So today I thought to share it on my own blog as well, in case you missed it!

Don’t you just love those bold colors by Dylusions?! And the sunflowers stamps are amazing! The moment I saw them I knew they would end up in one of my art journal pages.

For the background I did a fun techniques with gelli printing, which can be used over a book despite the fact that there is a spine.

I also created a black and white border that helps the design pop even more. And I finished it with that green vine that goes all around the layout with leaves coming out of it.

As always to bring everything together, I used my PITT big brush markers and my favorite shading technique.

  1. Those paints are gorgeous ! I must pick up a gelli plate. Looks like so much fun Vicki. Thanks for the fabulous inspiration!

  2. Hi Vicki…many times I want to SO follow your artistic creations and when I go to try and order they are out of stock…like now…by the time they are back in stock you already have something else on and then I forget, something else is out of stock..
Is there a way around this…
    Thank you your FAN
    Galy from Australia…

The sunflower one has been out of stock for about a week….silly to buy the stamp when the die is out of stock…

  3. This is so beautiful, Vicky! I have a question for you: If I wanted to use zig clear color markers to color in my journal, should I color everything first (before I attach it) and then go over the colored area with gel medium or would I follow the same order as you did with the big brush markers? Thanks!!
