It’s that time of the year again that our little ones are going back to school. So I had to create a back to school card. Today I am not stamping at all though! The image I used of the school bus is a digital image by Karber Digital Images. They have the cutest little faces! Don’t be afraid to use digital images. Printed images do not smudge when colored with your copics, they are resizable and cheaper!

Here is the card I made using the school bus by http://www.karberdigital.com/ and make sure you scroll down to enter the giveaway to win that digi along with a $25 shopping spree.

I was going for a colorful, happy and cheerful card. A card made for a child. I think I succeed. Here is a closer look:

  1. Fantastic Vicky, love the holes and clips to make the paper look like it is torn from a pad, so clever, love the window too, just a wonderful card.

  2. I absolutely love this card!! Very bright and fun.

Love the new Inlinks tool. I like that it marks as read those blogs I already visited. I tried to add my link but after completing the process my image and link don’t appear in the blog list. I don’t know if there is a problem or if I need to wait a moment for it to appear as usual. I don’t even get the usual message with the frog face. I refreshed the page a few times… oh and also tried to add my link twice 🙁 Sorry for that 🙁 🙁

    Hugs, Joan

  3. Amazing card!! So bright and cheery! I love it! The new InLinkz is…..-WOW! I love the large size of the photos which makes is EASY to view all the beautiful work! Absolutely BRILLIANT!!

  4. Your card makes ME want to hop on that bus and go to school! The new InLinkz is so sleek. I like the fonts. There’s probably so much that goes into it that I don’t know to appreciate!

  5. I have tried to link up my project twice but the picture did not show up. Do I need to register somewhere first before I can submit my entry via the add your link button?

    1. Hi Heaney,

I just uploaded your card (it is on the 3rd page).

Thank you for reporting this ! You just helped us make it better!

      All the best,
      Aris, InLink.com

  6. I love learning about this new technique cutting out the windows and using the acetate! inspiring and so detailed! cute… Now, the bad news is I can’t seem to link up my pic of a card I am a bit proud of! I’ve tried attaching it through the “add your link” button 5 times but it never shows up! What the heck?! It’s a monochromatic one and I really like how it turned out (although it’s no where near your skill level….much more “beginner” than you are!)

    1. Hi Penny,

As mentioned, the widget is very new and some bugs are bound to surface.
We have your submission and I’ll troubleshoot it. Don’t worry, as any readers that haven’t been able to link-up, you are still eligible for the prize.

      Best regards,
      Aris, InLinkz.com

  7. Adorable digi image and very cute card. I used your linking tool but when it asked if I wanted to crop that button did not work. I clicked on the crop button and it automatically just submitted the picture I had clicked on to submit. Not a problem for me but if someone wanted to truly crop this would not have worked. Otherwise nice, clear and easy to use.

    1. Hi Mary-Anne,

do you by any chance use Chrome? There is a known offset bug that actually registers the mouse clicks a wee bit more on the right so this could have been what happened.

do you get double scrollbars in any website? (eg youtube). ?

  8. Love love love the colors for your selection of pattern paper. And your techniques for adding the acrylic “glass” windows and little people. Love it!

  9. Ok, I just linked up. I love how the “tweet” my link is not another window to click through. I like the look of the new link window, with the rounded edges, etc. Thanks for the chance to win!

  10. Adorable card! Love the idea of using the acetate for the windows. I’m glad to know that the copics don’t affect the printed digi, I’ve been leary of using them for just this reason, was afraid they would smear.
I got my link to my project up. The only problem I had was that the images to choose from were really tiny and kind of ‘smooched’ they were as wide as the space, but very small vertically. I could tell which picture I wanted by the colors, but not by the image. It worked out fine for me though.

    1. Hi Kristie,

thank you so much for your feedback. As it turns out that was a bug apparent only to Internet Explorer and it has now been fixed.

      Thanks again!

  11. Such a cute card and thanks for the chance to win!

Re Inklinz, I like the new pop up form for adding your link/name/email, but when you go to pick the photos, some how they are all smooshed, and you can’t really see what they look like, so you have to know the order of the photos, or kind of guess at it. I also kind of like to see all of the links at once rather than scroll through pages.

    1. Hi Miriam. Thank you so much for helping us out debug Inlinkz. Your feedback is so valuable! I guess you were using Firefox since we had known issues with it. We solved the problem and now everything is working fine. As for the paging, this will be an option for the blog owner. It was a much wanted feature since there are challenge blogs with more than 500 entries and they prefer to have paging of let’s say 100 images per page instead of a loooooong non-ending blog post!
