Spotlight On: Penny Black – DAY 2

Welcome to DAY 2 of “Spotlight on”! I am having so much fun this week reading your comments and posting all those videos!

The technique I’ve used for today’s card is paper piecing. Here is the card:

I love Christmas paper pads and there is no better way to use them that paper piecing. I had so much fun choosing the papers for the scarf and backgrounds! Here is a closer look to those cute little faces!

You can enjoy the video here or over at YouTube in HD. All the supplies used on this card are listed just below the video and don’t forget there is a giveaway running though the whole week! 6. I watched this with my 4 year old, she was thoroughly impressed (as was I!). She kept saying “You have one of those Mommy” (stickles, tape runner, etc.). So at the end, I said one of her fave lines ” I wanna make a card like that some day”. And her response – “You will when you get older Mommy”. 🙂

LOL! She is so sweet! Give her a kiss for me! My DD is almost 6 now, and we see how-to videos together too. And guess what? the other day she was making a card on my craft room and then she said “now I am going to finish my card on my desk”. I asked her “why is that Maria?” and she replied “cause I don’t want people to see what I am doing” LOL!!! she thinks if she sits there everyone is watching!
