Friday already and time for another challenge at Lily Pad Cards. This time you need to make a card using fabric or felt sponsored by a lovely stamp company Frogs whisker’s ink. Check out their huge collection of rubber and cling stamps! I am sure you are gonna love them.

Here is the card I made as a member of the design team using the stamp “Tulip Bucket” (check at the bottom for linked list of supplies)

Here is a closer look

Care for some photos of the process on how I made the background?

I teared a piece of the sticky-back canvas. I always like to tear off the canvas cause I like the fringe, I even make it to stand out more by taking off more threads…

I used two distress inks and applied the ink directly on the canvas with the pads. Looks awful doesn’t it?

But here is the trick! Water! Lot’s of it!

And it magically covers the canvas and blends perfectly! Then I used a couple of more ink pads to darken the edges.

The rest is easy. I stamped the image on white paper and colored with copic markers. Used my detail scissors, my kraft knife and lots of patience to cut around the image…

I used some 3-dimensional foam adhesives to stick it on the canvas. If you find it does not stick on the canvas then a bit of glossy accents will keep it in place for ever … and make sure the canvas is dry before you try to stick anything there. Just use your heat gun so you don’t have to wait.

and here is the final project again:

If you find this helpful and you want me to post photos of the process when I make a card let me know! I can always do this in addition to my weekend videos.

Thanks for visiting today and make sure to hop over to Lily Pad Cards to see the gorgeous cards created by the rest of the design team and join the fun!
