Just made another card for a challenge today! This card is for the Embellish Magazine. Kraft and paper piecing!!! No way I can skip that… my two favorite things.
So here is my take on the challenge just in time for deadline
Have you seen Caardvarks challenge? It’s sponsored by HeroArts and you have to make a Clean and Simple card.
Now this is a challenge for me, since I love HeroArts and CAS cards are so hard for me to do…
I’ve used some polka dot paper for the background and vellum. For the cherries I’ve stamped, paper pieced the image and used some wire for interest. Glossy Accent, silver gems and thread added the extra something. Thanks for visiting.
I keep getting messages asking me to make more masculine cards. I feel they are more difficult because our supplies are mostly girly. But the “Oliver” collection by BasicGrey is wonderful! So here goes.

I get a lot of questions on how I make my cards and if I sketch them first. The answer is yes. Most of the time I have a sketched idea on the card I am making. So all I have to do is pick the ink colors and the patterned papers that match.
Actually, I have a sketchbook on my bag all the time, wherever I go. I draw cards everywhere, at work, at the car, at bed. I bought a Moleskine Pocket Storybook. Every page has frames and they are ideal for designing cards.
Nothing fancy … but of course I had to add some glitter on the outside… LOL.
… and here are the sketches for the “back to school” series, just to take a look on the inside
I may keep the general idea (the one with the fishes) when making the card and change it completely or just go along with the draw.
You can make a cheaper version of this if you follow the instructions of the talented Kristina Werner here, she even provides a template for you to download and print!
And here we are at the last card of these series! Can’t believe it’s already over! The last one was done pretty fast but I have to say it’s my favorite of all 4.
A for apple, B for Bee and C for Cupcake!
Enjoy the video and then scroll down for the list of supplies used. Thank you all so much for the blog love, the sweet comments and the feedback! They are the reasons I post the videos! Hugs and I hope you enjoyed the series!
A stack of books with an apple on top… when the card finished I realized that the apple was huge for the books sizeĀ but I don’t really care, I like the outcome. Anyway if you copy this idea use a smaller apple LOL
Enjoy the video and come back tomorrow for another one! List of supplies will be available at the bottom of the post later (I’ll update this post tomorrow with the list, I really need to go to bed now).
September is the month that schools open in Greece. And that means I have to go back to work.
So, I decided to make 4 cards+videos themed “Back to school”.
I will be uploading one video every day so make sure to check them out! Hope you’ll enjoy them.
I had so much fun making them
