…just chating

May24

Hi everyone! It was a long weekend in Greece because Monday is holiday. We were on a family trip for three days and we just came back. We had a wonderful time (although it was raining… ). So no video for this weekend. Sorry!

I would also like to apologize for not posting as often and not commenting on your lovely blogs lately.  It’s a very busy season for me because of the finals at school. Marking the tests takes a lot of my time and as if this is not enough we are moving!

Well, moving is a big improvement as we are currently live in a city flat and now we are going in a big house at the suburbs with a yard! Yeah! and guess what? I am gonna have my very-own scraproom! Hooray! I’ll share photos when it’s done!

I’ll be updating my blog but not as often and I’ll be watching your blogs but not everyday. I’ll be back “full-time” in about three weeks! Weekend videos and “Around the world” challenges will be posted as always so stay tuned!

Hugs

Winners!

May14

And the winners of the 2nd “Around the World” challenge are:

I admit those were my favorites too!

Monika Reeck has made such a beautiful card, I love those tulips and the small house in the background! Monika is very talented, she is a member in a number of DT and her cards are just adorable. I wasn’t familiar with her work but I’ll be visiting her blog in a regular basis! Check it out here!

Vera has made such an elegant card! I love all the details on this card, the background and the Stardust Stickles. And it required a lot of time and patience to do all that cutting. Check Vera’s lovely blog and her inspiring cards here.

Nancy‘s card is a masterpiece! Have you seen how she made the grass? As Virginia said it’s so Van Gough-like! And that windmill ? Did you know she googled for this sketch, resized it, printed and painted it?! Nancy you are so creative! Nancy is one of my blog friends and I’ve been a follower of her blog for months. Check Nancy’s blog here.

I would like to thank all the talented girls that submitted their projects! It’s amazing how many different ideas can come up from the same photo!

May7

Thank you all so much for participating on my first “Around the World” Challenge! All the submissions were great! I would also like to thank you all for voting and testing the Inlinkz voting tool.

#1 Winner is Tina. Congratulations! your card is so sunny and warm! It makes me want to travel now! I didn’t know Tina’s work up to now. I visited her Flickr gallery and her blog. She is very talented. I already have some favorites from her cards. Check this and this! Tina you are the lucky winner of the $25 gift certificate from www.twopeasinabucket.com. I’ll contact you by email.

The rest of the winners were already blog friends of mine.

#2 Winner is Yes!Virginia… Her card is so Greece! Love these embossed white houses. She has captured the feeling, the colors and the shapes of the inspiration photo! What can you say about this talented lady? Every card she makes is better than the other. Here is her Flickr gallery and her blog. Not only she is talented but is has a really warm heart. I’m sending you lot’s of hugs.

#3 Winner is Donna Mikasa. When I first saw this card I was amazed! So clever to pick up the shape of the church and make it an umbrella! And the colors? So blue … just like Greece’s sea and sky! Have you ever seen her cards? I admire her coloring technique. I wish I was living next to you Donna so I could come and watch you while you are coloring. She has the talent to make great color combinations and copics are a second nature to her! Her cards are the cutest. Check her Flickr gallery and her blog.

A big THANK YOU to all my blog readers for making this challenge possible. I hope you’ll find this week’s photo as inspiring!
